Birds Nest Foundation Wins Bronze Stevie Award for Food Bank of New York City Public Service Announcement
 
New York, NY – November 13, 2013 – Avis Richards’ 501(c)(3) non-profit, Birds Nest Foundation, took home the Bronze Stevie Award for producing ‘The Color of Hunger’ Food Bank for New York City Public Service Announcement (PSA) at the 10th annual awards dinner on Friday, November 8th. The PSA shines a light on hunger with the message, “Hunger is here. Thankfully so are you. Donate. Advocate. Volunteer.”
 
Founded by Avis Richards, the Birds Nest Foundation produces high-quality documentaries, short videos and PSA’s for charitable organizations. Productions have touched upon important topics such as education, health, women’s issues, the environment, anti-violence, and more.

Food Bank For New York City warehouses and distributes free food for over 1.5 million hungry New Yorkers each year. As one of the country's largest food banks, their mission is to end hunger in New York City by organizing food, information and support for community survival and dignity.
 

 
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run.
