The Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding was founded in 1992 to build on the work of Rabbi Marc H. Tanenbaum, a pioneer in inter-religious relations and a world-renowned human rights activist. Tanenbaum is a secular, non-sectarian not-for-profit organization that combats prejudice and bridges religious difference with practical programs in four arenas: schools, workplaces, health care facilities and international conflict zones.
