Avis Richards, CEO and founder of Birds Nest Foundation, won a Stevie Award for Best Video of the Year for her 26-minute documentary “LUNCH: The Film”.

“I am extremely proud of ‘LUNCH: The Film’ and am so grateful to the Stevie Awards for honoring it this year. My goal in making the film was to cast a light on the unhealthy habits of our society and hopefully this can lead to change in our diets, physical activity, and overall nutrition in this country,” said Richards.

“LUNCH: The Film”, one of Avis’s landmark projects, investigates the causes and the consequences of growing up in a junk-food culture and aims to raise awareness about the adverse effects of foods served in cafeterias nationwide.
