On our visit to this trendy new place we were able to try the Red Quinoa with cabbage, broccoli, Swiss chard and cranberry vinaigrette—which was served to us personally by the executive Chef Alex Oefeli. The dish was striking, the Swiss chard, cabbage and quinoa all had traces of red in them so the food looked almost color coordinated. Nothing says delicious like aesthetically pleasing food. The cranberry vinaigrette soaked into the broccoli so there was a burst of cranberry flavor in each bite. The crunch of the fresh broccoli combined with a sweet sauce created an especially enjoyable taste. The red cabbage and Swiss chard tasted fresh—their flavors highlighted one another and stood out in a way that non-organic salad fixings do not. The leafy parts of Ellary’s Green’s Red Quinoa salad especially good because we could actually taste the freshness. The red quinoa was soft and flavored by the cranberry vinaigrette, so it too had a wonderfully sweet taste that we couldn’t get enough of. The dish is beautiful to look at, refreshing and delicious, the perfect option for a hot summer day or a light and flavorful meal.
Customers from all over the city (and the country) will enjoy the true variety of food offered at Ellary’s Greens. Whether you’re a vegetarian, a full on vegan, a diehard carnivore, gluten intolerant or simply a lover of organic ingredients, Ellary’s Greens has got you covered.
